As per the Annual planner 2016-2017 TNPSC Group 4 notification Published today.
TNPSC Group IV 2016 Exam on November 6 at various exam center across
Tamil Nadu conducted by the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission. TNPSC
Group Four Exam 2016 Result will be published in the month of February
2017 and the TNPSC Group Four Exam 2016 counselling is tentatively
scheduled for the month of May 2017. A total number of vacancies in the
upcoming TNPSC Group 4 Exam 2016 is 5451.
Note:The
questions on General Studies will be set both in English and Tamil and
the questions on General Tamil/ General English will be set in the
respective languages.

Note:
(i). No maximum age limit
for candidates belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and
Destitute Widows of all castes who possess a General Educational
Qualification which is higher than the Minimum General Educational
Qualification (i.e. who have passed P.U.C / H.S.C / Diploma /Degree).
குறைந்த பட்ச கல்வி தகுதியான 10ஆம் வகுப்பிற்கு அதிகமாக படித்த SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows பிரிவை சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு அதிக பட்ச வயது வரம்பு கிடையாது .
(ii) “Others” [
i.e., Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, and
BCMs] who have put in 5 years of service in the State / Central
Government are not eligible even if they are within the age limit.
Educational Qualification (Common Qualification for all posts):
A. Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification:
Must possess Minimum General Educational
Qualification viz., Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its
equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of
Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.
Note:
The candidates who have not passed SSLC Examination or its equivalent
are not eligible even if they possess a higher qualification.
B. Technical Qualification:
1. For Typist:
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting
- by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
- by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)
- by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.
2. For Steno-Typist, Grade III:
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination both in Typewriting and in Shorthand
- by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
- by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)
- by Higher / Senior Grade in English and Lower/ Junior Grade in Tamil.
Candidates who possess intermediate
grade shall choose Junior Grade column as the intermediate grade is not
treated as equivalent to Senior Grade.
Exam Pattern:
This exam is an objective type, single paper of 200 marks which has two types, such are-
First is: General Studies, Aptitude Test, and General English
Second is: General Studies, Aptitude Test, and General Tamil

For candidates completed One Time Registration - Rs.75 /-
For candidates not completed One Time Registration should pay additional Rs.50 / - as Application Fee .
*** If you are applying for first time, first do One Time Registration in the www.tnpscexams.net website . It costs Rs.50/- and valid for next 5 years(You need not pay application fee for next 5 years) .***
